Recovered carbon black supply
Carbon black recovered from end-of-life tyres, supplied by the load or on contract for rubber, plastics and pigment applications.
Request a quote for recovered carbon blackWhat it is
Recovered carbon black, or rCB, is the solid material left when tyres are heated in a pyrolysis process. It is milled and often pelletised before sale.
It is not identical to virgin carbon black. Grades differ in ash content, surface area and particle structure, so buyers normally test a grade before committing to volume.
Typical specification
Final values are agreed per order.
| Form | Powder or pellets |
| Ash content | Stated per grade and agreed in the supply terms |
| Surface area and structure | Compared against the virgin grade it replaces |
| Packaging | Bulk bags or sacks |
| Qualification | Buyers typically test a sample before agreeing a volume |
Where it is used

Questions
Can rCB fully replace virgin carbon black?
Sometimes in part, rarely in full, and it depends on the application. Test results for your formulation decide.
Why does ash content matter?
Ash comes mostly from fillers in the tyre. Higher ash can affect colour strength and mechanical properties, so many buyers set a maximum.
Do you have grade data sheets?
Tell us your application and we confirm which grades we can supply and what test data is available.
